Just got back from a quick overnight trip to Tillamook, Oregon. Let's be honest, the real reason we went was for the cheese and ice cream, but we stayed for the spectacular sunset (and Pizza Hut). Miles really enjoyed the beach and flying his kite (courtesy of Jeff, Melissa and Noah) and mommy and JJ nestled into the cozy confies of the Ocean Rogue Inn. The place itself wasn't anything spectacular, as I think it was decotrated by Judge Smails. Despite the decor, it was a comfy three-bedroom loft that had a great view of the Twin Rocks.
Miles and I also took a quick trip to the Tillamook Air Museum. Miles learned all about Corsairs, Mustangs, Thunderbolts, Tomcats and about twenty other planes. It was his favorite part of the trip.
I snuck out at 6:45 to shoot the sunset and managed to snag a couple decent shots. I'm a big fan of the Photo Buddy App for my iPhone, it's helping me with exposure.
We were dreading the drive. Two hours with a screaming ten-week-old is enough to drive my wife to Dexter-like acts, but we've survived. It's been a whirlwind of unpacking, getting gorceries, and putting kids to bed.
I'm about an hour from starting the National Parks documentary -- which I'm sure will just feed my photobug for a trip to Yellowstone.
Until next time,
