First off, apologies for not A) not posting sooner and B) not writing as to why Project365 has been lacking this week.  As anyone (and by anyone, I mean my wife) can tell you, it's been an insanely busy week.

Saturday: Mike, Me, Blazers, Lakers.

Sunday: Super Bowl, Birthday Party

Monday: Work, Birthday, Dinner-Out, Kids, Sleep

Tuesday: Work, Exhausted from Night Prior

Wednesday: Work, Portland, Shopping, EPIC Billy Joel/Elton John Show

Thursday: Work, Friday Night Lights Finale on TiVo, Exhausted from Night Prior

Friday: Work, Packing for Weekend Trip to The Coast

So there.  Aside from all that, one evening I started uploading photos off my camera.  I think one (or more) of the photos were corrupted in some way and it totally halts my system every time I open Lightroom.  Not only that, but Apple decided to release Aperture 3 this week, and it intrigues me enough that I decided to download the trial and give it a shot.  But that requires that I learn a new interface for managing and developing my photos and that takes time.  More time than I thought.

Life was so much easier at 29.

Regardless, I can't tell you all how much I'm looking forward to this weekend.  While it's always great to hit the coast with my family over a long weekend, I'm also really excited about the photographic opportunities that may present themselves.  I think most of my photos in the Portfolio section are from excursions to the Oregon Coast.  I'll try to add a few by next week.  The weather doesn't look like promising, but you never know where you can find a little magic.

Also, I wanted to express my gratitude to the few people who check this site regularly.  Thanks so much for your comments and e-mails.  I've had some great reaction to the few shots I posted of The Gorge.  It's always great to have people compliment shots that aren't of my kids.  It's easy to tell people how cute their kids are, but landscapes are a different beast.  And shooting them is something I certainly don't consider my forte.

So while I'm still behind posting a couple photos from 2/9 and 2/12, I'll get them up soon.  It's just a matter of finding the moments.  The hunt is on.

Happy Valentine's Day.
