Their wedding was on a rainy Saturday at the tiny and historic Oaks Pioneer Church in Portland, but Anna didn't seem to mind the downpour at all. As soon as the church opened, a few of us dried off inside and Anna paced around the front of the tiny church, patiently awaiting the first look at her husband-to-be. As guests streamed into the church, she hugged, laughed, and kissed any that approached her, just itching to do the same with Jason.
Jason was smoothing out his tux and getting some last minute words of encouragement from James before he breezed through the thick double doors that separated him from Anna. She turned around as he made his way toward her, with a smile as wide as the front steps. They hugged, laughed, and kissed in that tiny church, ready for whatever life would throw at them. Together.
Anna and Jason, thanks being so incredibly gracious and (for lack of a better word) awesome. I feel so incredibly lucky to have worked with such an amazing couple....to see (and feel) the impact in the lives you've touched is inspiring beyond words. I appreciate you inviting me into your lives to document how fiercely and faithfully you love. I hope you're soaking up the sun in Maui and listening to a plucky ukulele.
